Welcome... I am Chef Jean-Marie Zimmermann, from Strasbourg in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France and now residing in the Bordeaux countryside. My career spans more than thirty years in leading restaurants, hotels and now luxury ocean liners.I am the Corporate Executive Chef at Cunard Line - operators of the World’s Most Famous Ocean Liners™ Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth; internationally recognized as their Global Culinary Ambassador.
Ocean Liner Cuisine was published in French, German, and English (which is only available on board Cunard's three ocean liners). This beautiful hard cover book weaves together the story of Cunard's flagship Queen Mary 2 as you visit all the dining rooms on board. It includes many recipes that were originally created for that ship.
Home for me is the Bordeaux region of France, where my English wife Susan and I live, with frequent visits from our offspring. We love spending time out and about at markets or farms seeking new, fresh organic produce, including meat, vegetables and fruits, as well as locally caught fish, seafood, and of course in Bordeaux wines.
In the longer term I hope to eventually open restaurants in France and in the USA.
